To guarantee supply of fresh water to the region, Aigues Ter Llobragat (ATLL) has constructed the Llobregat Desalination Plant. Located in the municipality of El Prat De Llobregat, Catalonia, Spain; the plant will produce 200 million liters/day (53 million gallons/day) and utilizes ERI®'s PX® Technology to reduce energy consumption. This project is carried out with the utmost respect for environmental considerations and requirements.

Documentary produced by Beyond 2000, a Science Channel in Australia. It features the Perth Desalination Plant and focuses on ERI´s power-saving PX Pressure Exchanger. The program was later on acquired by the Discovery Channel and re-broadcasted in the US
